We invite you to come & experience the relaxed friendly atmosphere of the salon, our team are committed to providing you with a first class service, taking the time to listen to your needs & offer good comprehensive advice on style, colour, style maintenance & hair products.
Our team of professional stylists have been hand picked because they are the best in their field; they have more than 80yrs experience in the industry between them & are dedicated & passionate about their work. Despite the immense knowledge of our trade we believe education is the key to good work & continue training to keep ahead of current trends & product information, by regularly attending courses at the London Tigi Academy as well as having a salon based training program.
 Chris Wood: Owner/Salon Director: Chris is the first face you see, his motto is “the answer is YES, now what’s the question”? Chris’ background is customer services, sales & marketing, he joined Helen at Off The Square a year after opening & now coordinates & manages the salon full time so, if you need an appointment in a hurry, have had a disaster with your hair, he’s the man that will brighten your day!  Helen Wood: Owner/Salon Director: Helen has been hairdressing since leaving Q E School Wimborne in 1979. She is qualified in all aspects of ladies & gents modern & classic hairdressing, specialising in colour services & colour correction she has completed courses with L’Oreal, Wella, Schwarzkoph, Kerastase, Balmain hair extensions & Tigi to name but a few. Helen is a great listener, but has delusions about being the boss!
Click here to see a Gallery of Helen's work  Anna Duchnowska: Principal Stylist: Anna has an impressive C.V having qualified in all aspects of ladies & gents hairdressing, colouring & hair extensions, she has worked as an educator for Wella, was chosen as a hairdresser for national T.V, was a hairstylist for Elle magazine photo shoots & styled the candidates hair for Miss World. She has worked in Oxford & has now joined our team from central London.

Laura Farrant: Principal Stylist: Laura, also a local girl, has 14 years experience in cutting & colouring ladies and men’s hair & has been successful in renowned local salons based in Westbourne, Ferndown & Bournemouth. She has attended several training courses at the Tigi academy in London & also at Wella. Always happy to help, Laura prides herself in her friendly personality & making people look & feel fantastic.
 Zoe Collette: Principal Stylist: Zoe is a successful experienced stylist with a real passion for hair & always takes pride in her work. She has worked in a prestigious local salon as well as completed training courses with Wella & Tigi at their academies in London, & also enjoys taking part in competitions. Zoe loves to get creative, creating the perfect look for you.
Marie Silier: Principal Stylist:
Marie is Vidal Sassoon academy trained in both ladies & gents hairdressing, she has also completed courses with Aveda, Wella, GHD, Whal, L’Oreal & schwarzkoph. Marie is also trained in Balmain hair extensions. A National Hairdressers Federation competition winner in ladies & gents categories Marie is passionate about her work & enjoys a challenge.
Chelsea Stokes: Stylist: Chelsea is the youngest talent in our team, having completed her training at Poole & Bournemouth College, she is now hot on the heels of the rest of the team, eager to learn more & build her own clientele! She’s one to watch!
